Don’t disrespect Matthew by suggesting this! He had just played Pickleball, a vigorous, exhausting sport. Returning home he was in his hot tub for who knows how long? The recommended time limit is 15 - 30 minutes. Exceeding this, especially after exercising can lead to dehydration, dizziness, fainting, even hypothermia. Drowning was not intentional under his circumstances! Treat this dear lovely man with respect and quit poisoning his memory with slander! Shame!! RIP Chandler/Matthew 💕

So much more than a celebrity. He was such an authentic man. A beautiful soul and heart. I read his audiobook and it was heartbreaking what he went through in the hospital, 16 surgeries, 5 months in a coma and temporary colostomy bag.

He possibly had a heart attack. His health was not great. My husband passed away at same age and because of alcoholism. Perry was abusing more than just alcohol. He is resting in peace. His book has helped some people suffering with addiction; but now after his death, his book may become the "go to" reading as part of successful addiction treatment. I believe everyone's life has purpose. His struggle and his book may be his ultimate purpose and legacy... That is, to help others struggling with addiction. As a therapist, I certainly hope so.

It’s so heartbreaking to know that the world lost such an amazing talented young man far too soon, I will always remember him for the compassionate, kind, caring person that he was he did his best to reach out and try to help others over come their addiction when he turned his former home into a recovery home it spoke volumes about his character and integrity I have and always will have the upmost respect for him he truly cared so much and so deeply for others because he battled his demons and knew what it was like to be in the shadow of addiction and knew how difficult the battle was to conquer the beast and wanted to try and save as many people as possible from going too far down the rabbit hole may he rest in heavenly peace his race was run and his battles are now over and the only scars in heaven are on the hands that hold him now

I wasn't shocked. The damage of addiction hits people at middle age. I've known so many who have died. It's sad. I feel for his parents. He seemed like a good person. Addiction is awful. It's hard. Speaking about it is very courageous. It's hard to or yourself be that vulnerable

You are making way to much about the Batman thing. His inner child loved everything about Batman and he was a serious collector of high-end Batman paraphernalia and spent a small fortune on them.Some of his collection was featured in "Open house NYC" when they featured his LAX penthouse.
What we can all agree on though is that the world lost a f.r.i.e.n.d. and that those with serious addiction problems actually lost a true friend. RIP Mattman!!
