This song reflects that a soulful singer became mature with progression of age. I was a young 22 years old when these guys came in the picture with the band Take That. Amazing song. I was always a fan of Mr. Williams.

Wow 🤩🎶Only just discovered this Robbie song yesterday 😅 (both this XXV version and the original) - not heard it play on Radio Stoke (though it must've been more popular before I was born). I prefer the catchy riff in the original, but the orchestral style is stunning here. 🎼🌠

It's hard to beat the original... It has always been a masterpiece and one of the Robbie's finest songs.

But. He and his team have done a great job with a new version.
We always know that The Road To Mandalay is a very sad song and finally its music fits to the lyrics so well.
Now the song has even more nostalgic note than before.

And yes, the orchestral part since 3:10 is so wonderful addition... You want to listen it over and over...
