You should not speak about things you don't know. There are around 5000 accidents with this species a year here in Brazil, with 5-10 people dying. A bit less than the 10000 you said was dying a year.

He doesn't even mention the worst aspect of this caterpillar's venom, as it is hemotoxic with anticlotting agents that cause a person to hemorrhage and bleed out.

Exaggerate much? It’s a highly toxic animal, but it injects minuscule amounts. There are definitely documented fatalities on record, but not in the same realm as 10, 000 annually. I highly doubt they cause more than one or two deaths annually. And I’m being generous and accounting for the unaccounted deaths because of the rural nature of their habitat. I’m work hands on with many venomous animals and it drives me insane when I hear these gross exaggerations. Outside of venomous snakes, there are a handful of animals that can kill a healthy adult human with their venom. And most of those would be exceptional cases.

I just had an encounter with one not knowing what it was, and I even put a small rock in front of it and picked it up from the rock and nearly fainted watching this

this caterpillar just bit me, and it is very painful like electrical short. but i am feeling alright now it's been 10 to 15 minutes since it happened.
