What happens if you forget to deactivate before you uninstall? I didnt and i'm trying to deactivate but because it was uninstalled via resetting my PC, i think the license was lost and now i can't figure out how to deactivate the license since its not showing up/only giving me the option to activate.

I don't understand why but when I deactivate a license on the laptop, I can't activate it on the desktop. It almost seems like the software does not "see" that there is an available license. The only thing I can do then is reactivate it on the laptop.
Any suggestions on how to overcome this problem?

Its pretty inconvenient to have to remember to first deactivate a license, especially if you weren't planning on doing work from home on the weekend. I wish solid works would do it like every other subscription software company out there and automatically deactivate/activate seats. Adobe and inventor both handle this great. I wouldn't call this method "easy" by any means.
