It's easy to visualize sounds and music in Shotcut with two filters (one of which is BRAND NEW) - get at least version 18.11.18 before trying this and watch this while downloading.

Really great, thanks! The only thing I'd add is I was putting the music track on an audio track - if you do this it won't work! It has to be on a VIDEO track (as you show). It's a bit unintuitive to put an audio file on a video track but it's a video effect so it makes sense from that perspective!

Do you know how to do this if the audio is in an audio channel seperate to the video channel? would be really helpful if you could answer

Waveform visualization shows only volume levels over time. Spectrum shows frequencies of the sound. Good tutorial. I've always wanted to spice up screencasts, where I show just my photo. Now I can overlay the spectrum over my photo to create a more lively dynamic experience.

I benefited from this video. So there is something important I discovered that I would like to share in this platform. This filter will not work on a audio track. To make it work on a audio file you have to place the audio file in a video track. This will be important if you are trying to make a video of your podcast with this visualisation effect.

Hello, first off, thank you for the great tutorials, Well Done Sir. Second, I have no problem admitting I'm a complete novice with video/audio editing, but thankfully because of how nice the Shotcut setup is and thanks to your great tutorials, I'm doing some basics editing that seemed quite daunting before watching your tutorials.

Anyway, onto the second question, , , LOL. I'm wondering if there's a way to improve the video quality of a video that is a bit fuzzy or a bit out of focus.?, any help.? Thank you in advance.!!!

Sir in the latest version of ShotCut the audio waves id not appearing on the audio and video timeline. Please help.
I have checked everything and also tried reinstalling the software but it didn't worked.
