No doubt in my mind this is the best video of the 3-D cutting board I have seen. I’ve watched a lot but it’s very very very good thank you
normanmartin
I enjoyed your video and you did a great job of explaining your process. Thank you!

The final board came out amazing! I have a Bosch 4100XC-10 table saw as well that I use to make cutting boards among other things. Anyway, to prevent burning when I use hardwoods, especially hard maple, whether it be plain or curly, I use a brand new or freshly sharpened blade.

Most people: **deliver background info on the project by addressing the audience**
One of my new favorite makers: **has a whole conversation with an R2 unit about his mother, while making marvel references**

Absolutely brilliant video! We enjoyed that very much. The conversation with R2 was epic but the build itself was very impressive. Great job. Keep the videos coming!

A couple of points for some help:
A shame you didn’t get the grain all in the right direction!
Never push the stock against a solid stop. Very easy to track the cut-off piece.

You might want to try gluing the two bowed pieces together with the inside of the bows facing each other. Once clamped they will straighten out.

What was the one tiny adjustment you needed to make before making all the cross cuts?
matthewreitz
There's another video on YouTube of someone making this exact same cutting board and it has 10 times as many views as yours, however the quality on that video does not compare to yours. you did a great job and I hope you get a lot more views

Also, the shapes are parallelograms, but more specifically they are equilateral parallelograms, otherwise known as rhombuses.

I came across your video on making a 3D cutting board; I'm new to woodworking, your video is great, but do you have written instructions on this project? I'm trying to figure out how much rough lumber to buy, and the dimensions of both the rough lumber & sizes of the small pieces. Thanx.
tomandterrycleveland
what are the dimensions of your three boards once you glued them togehter? I take it they are square, but what is the length?
diannejanczewski
I realize this is an old video but @4:33 what was the adjustment you had to make?
befmx
Really nice cutting board . But what is a 1, 2, 3 block?
navarroedwards
Help, your board is great but for some reason I can't get my three pieces to line up. One is too big but the are all the exact same size and cut at a 30 degree angle. If you have an email address I would be glad to send you a picture. Thank you.
richardgolden
Looks OK, But it's not end grain. I know you never indicated it would be...
erickdanielsson
Awwww.... all that work and focus on grain direction and it appears one block is wrong, right in the middle of the board. When you're holding it at the end of the video, it's just below your fingertips... down one row.

Stop all the BS in the beginning. Totally waste of time.
