When people compliment artists on the Voice Norway, it's often some variant of "Where do they get all of these great singers?" or "What's in the water there?" And no matter how many times it's said, it's still true. That's an amazing group of singers, with Mina Lund being the figurative cherry on top. (By the way, in case you want to know more about Inger Lise Hope, she's got a web site, and her band with her husband, called "Davidsen/Hope", has a web site. She's got a page on the Norwegian-language Wikipedia. All of which Google will translate for you. Best of luck to her with her career; she's awesome. Amazing vocal range and breath control.)

I am a South African but I fell in love with Norway, and I think your roots are from there. The singing quality is extraordinary and the judges too. Ina in particular, she seems to live inside every song. I love your pure emotion music channel.

This very substantial compilation was such a treat, with many favorites from years past and present. But my surprise in this was to see Angelina Jordan with her Nobel Peace Prize performance with KORK doing Unchained Melody...by far the most nuanced and emotional rendition of this song I have experienced. For a look at why and how, the channel SummaEngineer by James Thiel is the place to see the whole back story for the prize recipient and song significance. (pardon please, this lapse into fandom of my #1 artist) The surfeit of talent is so hard to even comment on, it seems Norway truly does stand out...and the wide range of songs done is one thing that struck me: Alabama Shakes, Duffy, Sia, Springsteen are just some of the favorites that always please. But for the task of picking favorites? Just for the emotional feel I must say Mina Lund and Jorgen Dahl Moe...with a dozen others close behind....I must salute pureemotionmusic for this stellar and difficult compilation!
