2019 Hall of Fame ballot includes 20 newcomers

These 20 players have been announced as eligible for the 2019 Hall of Fame ballot

Mo is a no brainer as a first ballot hall of famer. Doc is also a no brainer. Those two are titans in starting and relief pitching.

No offense to them as people but Jason Bay, Vernon Wells, Juan Pierre, Polanco, Garland, Lilly, Tejada, Lowe, Freddy An, Youk, Pronk, Oliver, and Ankiel even being considered being put on a HoF ballot is pretty silly.

Juan Pierre is an interesting case. Probably not a hall of famer, but in the one year he played for the Phillies, even though he only played in about half the games, he became one of my favorite players. He played hard and hustled.
