How To Setup Windows 10 WITHOUT a Microsoft Account!

In one of the more recent Windows 10 releases, Microsoft made the option to sign in with a local account slightly more difficult to access. You now have to manually disconnect your PC from the internet if you want the option to sign in with a local account to appear! Hope this video helps some of you!

For those who might be setting up one of those mini PCs and who selected a Wifi during installation and cannot go back to the network screen because Windows WILL remember next time you start: shut off the PC (power button hold or hard power disconnect), then start it again, and on the first screen that appears do Shift+F10. Then type: netsh wlan disconnect. Then exit the shell and proceed. On the network select, say you don't have Internet. Then proceed with Limited setup. That's what I had to go through in order to proceed to install our new MSI Cubi which has Windows 10 Home Edition installed and we're a business. We don't want to deal with Microsoft, we just want to use our PC for crying out loud.

FYI: maybe this has been said, but if you are on a laptop and WIFI, and you want to disconnect from internet to create local profile, there is probably an airplane mode fn + hot key on your laptop, so easy.

Awesome! I hit Fn F12, which turned off wireless, went back, and it worked. Like, commented, and subscribed. As long as their are smart people fighting the man, we might retain some autonomy.

Another way: Try to sign in using incorrect info, then click "skip this for now" when it says the password is incorrect. On the next screen, choose "limited experience".

This is not true... You do NOT need to disable internet to install with a local account.
The button is simply hidden deeper into the next screen.

You need to enter anything random in the login box, or it won't let you click through to the next screen. Then when it fails, it gives an option to make a local account.

I had my PC connected to the internet (ethernet, not wifi, in case it makes a difference) while installing 1909 and there was some option that let me create an offline account. I don't remember what it was called, but I swear I have an offline account on my PC.
