The Jarlsberg cheese is pronounced with a Y not a J. Like Yar. Yarlz-berg. My Norwegian boss taught me this. I thought I would share to save you from future embarrassment. It’s also like the Greek food gyro. We Americans say giro like giro-scope. In Greek The g is silent and it is pronounced YeeRo (if you can roll your Rs, you would do so).
