House Republicans stall effort to expel George Santos from Congress

Instead of an up-or-down vote on whether to expel George Santos, Republicans voted along party lines to kick the issue over to the House Ethics Committee—which is already investigating Santos. Congresswoman Becca Balint joins Chris Hayes to discuss.

With a 2/3 vote needed to expel a member, it's no wonder no one can get kicked out of Congress. So let the voters decide in 2024 and let them kick him out. When the Democrats re-take the majority in 2024, change the rules. Once indicted, any member MUST resign within 5 calendar days.

That’s my concern, in my work as a teacher, if this happened to me, I would have been fired for lying to get my job. But, a guy in our second highest deliberative body is receiving my tax dollars to stay in a job and supported by his coworkers just so they can run a fascist government.
