We see a bunch of different things in movies and I remember watching them and always thinking: does that really work? How REAL is it? We're looking at WING CHUN!

Today we're looking at DONNIE YEN playing IP MAN in the second movie against Twister who is representing the western style of boxing! There was a lot of animosity in this age, and even in the decades to follow (60s, 70s, 80s) about "Style vs Style" fights. Basically we were trying to figure out which martial art moves, style, disciplines, systems, etc work the BEST. Everyone wants to know who the toughest guy on the street is, and we wanted to know what martial art the toughest was!

Today I'm going to break it down and discuss my opinions and commentary on this movie fight scene based on two criteria: Realism vs Entertainment!

Please LIKE and COMMENT! If you want to hear more about those "style vs style" check out my video on "What Martial Art Should I Try?"

6:31, that's Sammo Hung. Sammo Hung (born 7 January 1952), also known as Hung Kam-bo (洪金寶), is a Hong Kong actor,  martial artist,  film producer and director, known for his work in many martial arts films and Hong Kong action cinema. He has been a fight choreographer for other actors such as Jackie Chan.

Wing Chun or win tsun, was not made for sport fight it was created for warfare and street fighting only soo any rules against any kung fu style of move really trashes the ability to perform.

I think with the swinging motion of the side-punches to the jaw and temple, they'd definitely hurt - not like a full rotation punch, but enough of them piled on would worsen the previous hit to the temple.

I've seen other Kung Fu practitioners reacting to the Ip Man stuff mention that because of Wing Chun's forward-facing punches that they don't have as much power, since you don't have the rotation and momentum of a swing or getting your hips into the punch, so I definitely see why people would have a problem with how strong the punches are depicted in the movies, but then again, they're movies, so I'm not gonna take what's happening in them seriously as far as the practicality is concerned.

It was great to hear about some of the real science behind the scene from you, great job!

The crane bead will be trained from sand - iron sand - hot iron sand, it was used by the Chinese against the Manchurian Qing Dynasty, they would use this to insert the Manchurian's bodies and destroy them...
So if one is well trained, it's real... But it's hard to say if there is any real KungFu master left nowadays...
