I am heartbroken to learn just now of Chef Jack Chaplin's passing. I was with him from the very beginning on YouTube so many years ago. He was an amazing man, who I never had the pleasure of meeting, but I always aspired to visit his restaurant DADDY JACK'S in New London, CT. His cooking skillset, warm persona, good cheer, generosity, and smiles, resonated profoundly through his YouTube videos. Deepest Condolences to his family, friends, neighbors, customers and the community. I do hope his channel will remain, as what a superlative eulogy it is. R.I.P Daddy Jack.🇺🇲💙🙏🍀Bon Appetit'

I think Covid had a health impact on all of us restaurant people. Sadly had a huge one for Daddy Jack. I sure wish he was still here making magic but at least we've still got his videos. What a gift this man had and obviously such a kind heart. RIP Jack And that sandwich is perfection and not overcooked one bit.

I found daddy jack's chicken marsala page at least 4-5 years ago. feels like yesterday. I was in tears reading of his passing yesterday. This man filled the world with joy, his legend will live forever....god bless to the family
