SCP-096 vs. CHOO CHOO CHARLES

In this video, SCP-096 senses his face has been seen - via a postcard photograph - by a miner on Aranearum Island, the home of Choo Choo Charles. In classic Shy Guy fashion, the creature races to the island to kill it's victim when it suddenly comes face to blood-curdling face with the horror train from a video game itself, Choo-Choo Charles.

SCP 096 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Shy Guy.

SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition.
SCP096 is normally extremely docile, with pressure sensors inside its cell indicating it spends most of the day pacing by the eastern wall. However, when someone views SCP-096's face, whether it be directly, via video recording, or even a photograph, it will enter a stage of considerable emotional distress. SCP096 will cover its face with its hands and begin screaming, crying, and babbling incoherently. Approximately one (1) to two (2) minutes after the first viewing, SCP-096 will begin running to the person who viewed its face.

Choo-Choo Charles is a 2022 indie horror video game developed and published by Two Star Games. The player controls a monster-hunting archivist with the goal of upgrading their train's defenses in order to fight and defeat the titular character, Charles, an evil spider-train hybrid monster that wanders the landscape looking for people to eat. The game received mixed reviews from critics.

I know Charles comes from a game, but I alway thought that the whole concept of Charles would have made a great SCP. He's just as scary as most of them, and weird.

I think Shy Guy would be able to quite easily best Choo Choo Charles without having to use any kind of strategy. The Shy Guy can tear through metal and flesh like paper. Shy Guy is nearly indestructible, while Charles can be harmed by human weaponry.

I like to think that 096 is slowly getting smarter because this is the first time he's used his head to create an actual battle tactic

As good as this story was, we all know 096 would have shred charles the moment he looked at his face. Even if charles is scary looking, he's still just a big spider with a train as armor.

At first, I didn't understand why the island was named Aranearum. However, upon discovering that Aranearum is the Latin word for "spider, " everything became clearer.

It's unlikely that Choo Choo Charles is related to any of the current spider scps. He belongs to an ancient race of giant spiders that lived on Aranirum or whatever it's called. He's not actually a train, he took the train shell as a suit of armor against all the rocket launchers and flame throwers that humans use against him.

Choo Choo Charles' animation was AWESOME, props to the team for making it even scarier! But I still wonder when are we going to see some new SCP footage? This was weird to me. Scp 096 could easily kill Charles with a few swipes. I have absolutely no clue why he was scared of attacking Charles head on. When he grabbed Charles’ leg he should’ve been able to rip it clean off; he’s strong enough to thrust his arm through Charles’ entire body in one go. This was lowballing scp 096 heavily.

I get that you wanted the ending to match the game. but the main point that makes 096 so dangerous is because no matter how much damage is down to it, Its bones stay together. and the fact Charlie could be hurt with normal weapons I makes more sense for 096 just tearing the poor train to pieces. Good story either way.

Here's something that's been on my mind for a while.

What if Sauron (with the one ring) were to fight SCP-096? Instead of Sauron, what about another character like Gandalf or Saruman? Sauron could also face another SCP, such as 682. It'd be interesting to see how it turns out.
