This man spent $2000 to open a $1 shop in a remote village high up in the mountains. The villagers thought he was a scammer when he showed up claiming everything was $1 because how could it possibly be only $1?

Thankfully, he found a little girl and told her to go home and spread the words. Then, rain began pouring. With no customers, he was about to pack up when the girl came back with $10 and he let her pick out 10 items but she was careful not to pick too many things of high value leaving them for other people in the village.

Soon, words spread and people began dropping by to check out his $1 shop. Everyone was so happy to get what they needed, backpack, rice, oil, pen.

However, he discovered that there are some things the villagers wouldn't touch because they didn't know what it's for. They don't use toothpick so there's no need for toothpick holder, they also don't use scent gel, or peanut oil, or toilet cleaning fluid because they don't have toilets.

When an old lady pick the fluid up, he made sure she knew it's not shampoo or body wash but it can be used for cleaning floors. He had someone translate for him. The villagers spoke a different dialogue although some understands Mandarin.

When asked if he made his money back, he replied that all the smiling faces are worth every penny he spent.

When he was getting home, he even had to go down and push the car down because the car ran out of oil but he never stopped smiling. Do you think we need more people like him in the world?
