This movie packs so much world building into its first two minutes. In fact, the entire movie does that. There's no huge info dumps. No long speeches. No text prologue. All the information you need is visually provided in the backgrounds. A masterpiece.

Was with my family eating at the Cheshire Cheese (pub nextdoor to the blast) moments before this was filmed. We unknowingly walked out onto the set, and after being spotted by crew we were escorted to a safe distance before seeing the explosion.

I absolutely love how the exposition is delivered in this scene to introduce to the audience how global infertility has affected the planet. How the news broadcast tells us the world's youngest person was killed while all these people are crying watching it is perfect world building.

This movie was spectacular in its realistic portrayal of the near future. They managed to nail a lot of things, but the one thing they couldn’t predict is everyone walking around with their face in their phones 😂
