The Supreme Court has previously ruled that an officer requesting a driver's license at a traffic stop is not considered a search or seizure (Kansas v. Glover). Also, it is in fact Arizona law that a driver must present their license and registration when requested at a traffic stop, regardless of the reason behind the stop, and failure to do so is a Class II Misdemeanor (A.R.S. 28-1595(B)).

The most asshole comment was when the officer wanted the registration, the driver asked if he was allowed to reach it in the glove box and the officer answered with "unless it's going to magically appear in your hands".
Considering how often innocent people got shot because "they were reaching for something and i thought it was a gun" that is a perfectly reasonable question.

I never keep my registration or insurance card in a compartment, always on the visor so cops don’t get a look in that compartment. Remember people, plain view doctrine. Also, always print out a copy of your insurance so you don’t have to stop recording to retrieve it.
