The Lizardmages of Fear & Hunger are strange, distorted creatures found in the Gauntlet within the God of the Depths’ body and we learn they were formed from a marriage between a Yellow mage and Lizardman. They retain the Yellow Mage’s abilities as they can cast hurting on us in the overworld as well as the Locust Swarm spell in Battle. The lizardmage is physically tough as well due to them possessing the Lizardman’s attacks and tail whip. However, talking to them in battle can yield a peculiar interaction as the Lizardmage will admire your determination and resolve and reward you with an Elixir of Body. The New Gods tell us how the mix of creatures that created the monstrosity are confused to which tribe it actually belongs to and due to this they wander the darkness alone.

Huh I never thought about it but why would they perform a Sylvian marriage? They serve different gods. I know the play characters can use multiple different gods’ powers and remain neutral but the Yellow Mage serves Gro-goroth, which makes sense since he’s Sylvian’s consort, but the lizard men don’t seem to have any allegiance to any god new or old. They were kind of their own thing and have their own ascended pantheon. Like a literal T-Rex.

The fact there are two implies there were two gay furry yellow mages and two gay reverse furry lizardmen hanging around in the dungeon and just happened to run into each other.

In the deepest depths of the world a yellow mage with a slight furry liker tendency actually found love with a reptilian... what a beautiful sight

How I hated this creature even in the first race. I had to fight with the Girl, having one leg and zero arms. Not only does Penance Armor not save you from it, it also continues to cast hurting even when you loot boxes, although most other mobs stop at that moment.
