its insane to see how Yikes is in every aspect of the game way better than the rest of G2. And Caps is sadly a shadow of himself and if G2 stay cosequent like they did the last year - its time to go for him. He holds the Team back, we could see this in MSI so good. His stats are miserable and hes positioning is horrible. Cost the whole team to carry him.

Hans Sama just getting caught left and right is hilarious. He looked so lost during engagements just doesn't know where to position himself given that G2 had an engaging comp all throughout the best of 5. 😂😂😂

All Western teams can't play Aphelios and this has been a big problem for them in this tournament.

I am still proud of G2, at least some of their games were competitive. And Yike has showed everyone how crazy good he is. Too bad Caps lost his magic tho

Obviously it sucks to be eliminated as a G2 (and EU) fan, but tbh G2 looked the best out of all western teams. That game 3 was heartbreaking. G2 need to take the experience here and improve, and come back to worlds stronger than before.

Yike and BB were good this tournament. Yike looked better than GenG's and BLG's jungler even though he is rookie. BB was on level and competed with his eastern counterparts too, even though he did make some crucial mistakes sometimes. These 2 players I'm content with. Caps was a major disappointment. No where near the level he has shown he can play. It would even be fair to say G2 could've gotten a surprise win over GenG if not for the gargantuan mid gap. Hans Sama plays good 1 game and then bad 3 games. He gets caught really easily and forces too much sometimes. A big let down from what was expected of him. Mikyx, I can't really bring myself to talk bad about him. Pressed the int button a bit much this tournament, but as support sometimes you can't play just for trying to pick up the slack of your team. I think he would've performed a lot better if Caps and Hans were better too. G2 as a team is the best Western team I think, even if they finished last LEC split 4th. They can play with eastern teams competitively, but they have a huge glaring weakness. They always lose in big fights, especially in front of the baron and dragon. Seen it against GenG, seen it against BLG. They are ahead in gold and everything, and if the team fight goes their way it's insta win, but it dosn't happen.

It’s the spacing, the map control and macro decision taken by them, the insane tf and how they manage to keep the gold lead at arms length all the time even from behind. And this is just the second seed… omg like it’s so obvious that they play this game so differently… Yet even they loss G2 wormed my heart with that performance, especially yike. Yes Bb threw that game 2 tf at the end with the miss-click on stop watch but daamn they did fight back what so ever. Don t let yourself down G2 and come back stronger for the next show off at worlds !

As a long term G2 fan I am proud of you boys. You tried your best and you brought us really interesting games. I hope G2 won't replace Caps or anyone. Yes, this year Caps ain't in best condition, but still he is young and he is really talented. Plus one bad season shouldn't mean kick out of G2. I believe that he will find his form back. This team has potentional. This was their 1st big tournament together, they just need to work more, so they will be playing better as a team. T1 has same roster past few years and it works, cause the players know each other. 2019 G2 was succes, cause the chemistry between the players was insanely high and I believe, that this roster can reach that spot also. Some people were saying "BB out, he is trash" few months ago and now same people cherish him. I believed in him since he came in G2 and I won't stop. Same with Caps, same with Miky, same with Yike and Hans. With Yike I was little bit sceptical, because he was supposed to be substitute for the best jungler EU ever produced, but after few first games I knew, he will be great. Also Jankos said it.
Caps looks like there is something going on in his head/life, so just give him space and chance to get his form back. Players are humans in the end and they have their own lifes and problems. They are not machines. Even the best ones have bad seasons (Rekkles, Canyon even Faker).
Also this is first season without Jankos's leadership, which is also important. Don't get me wrong, BB is doing such a great work as a current leader, but still Jankos was important piece of G2 and it needs time to get used to the fact, that he is not around anymore to make calls.
So keep your heads up boys, we will come back stronger!

EDIT: Also we didn't get stomped. Tbh most of the games were even and we played well compared to other western teams, but we kinda lost our breath during the games and LPL/LCK teams took advatages of that. We just need to practise little bit more, so we can catch those eastern teams. Congratz to BLG and other eastern teams. I hope the best team will win MSI.

This is so sad. LEC teams keep falling further and further behind. They need remember that they'll never beat LPL and LCK teams if they try to copy them. Also LPL and LCK teams practice one thing 1000 times. LEC teams don't practice like that, this is why they should never copy them. The only way to win against them is to fully embrace the creative style. Both G2 and M5/Gambit were really good when they didn't copy but tried their own unique styles. This is why LEC needs new coaches who are not afraid to go against the global meta 🤔🤔🤔

The saddest thing about this is BLG is clearly looking much weaker than geng, T1 and JDG and it's still a 3-1

BLG were just way more coordinated in teamfights, hans would die to a coordinated attack and the fight is lost immediately.
