An Organizational Unit (OU) is an container with in a Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
In the OU we can place users, groups, computers and organizational units.

OU is the smallest unit to which an admin can assign group policy settings.
If a organization contains several domains they can create organizational unit structures in each domain.

We can link the group policies (GPO) to all the objects (users and computers) in the OU.

What is Group Policy Object (GPO) ?
Group policy object is the collection of group policy settings with the GPO we can define what permissions the users can have.
We can apply group policy on domain and OU.
