Dr. Gregory Poland discusses HPV vaccine for young people

More than 45-percent of American men are infected with genital human-papilloma virus (HPV), according to a recent study published in JAMA Oncology. The study also found the HPV vaccination rate for men at 10.7 percent. Dr. Gregory Poland, director of the Mayo Clinic Vaccine Research Group, calls HPV "a sexually-transmitted cancer that is ubiquitous in our culture and environment" and that can be prevented with vaccinations.
