Pearl Open Comb Razor & Spitfire Shave Soap. Having a relaxing shave after a hectic week last week.

Trying the Pearl Open Comb Razor again, this time with Spitfire ShaveSoap. I've been asked to try out the Pearl Closed Comb Razor in an upcoming video, so I thought I'd reacquaint myself with the open comb first.

I have a romer-7 which has the same head as the pearl open comb. The alignment does tend to shift a little while assembling the razor.

I use a drop of water on the bottom plate to keep the blade aligned properly while I screw in the handle.

Nice video! The Spitfire Mk VII's and MkVIII's were great aircraft, this looks like great shave soap may bite the bullet and order it from the UK. I like late model Spitfires MkXII's and Mk XIV's with the big Griffon engine. Tamiya recently released the Spitfire MK VIII in 1/32 scale...a beautiful kit. Visited England TG I didn't tell them the wife drove a Volkswagen!

You seem so much more at ease, Ken. I can tell you really enjoyed this shave. Phoenix & Beau's Spitfire is a completely authentic leather scent. It has moved into my rotation as well. I like the bruiser type of feedback on the Pearl. I also utilize the Personna blades. Newcastle pairs well with Chinese food. I'm looking forward to the next installment, Ken.

Nice Shave Ken. The Spitfire engine your referring to is a Rolls Royce " Merlin " No better sounding prop driven engine ever! I have and fly a 1/4 Scale RC model of a Spitfire Mark 9 it truly is my favorite plane of all time!

I love Spitfire for its post shave feel. It has to be for me the best soap I have in that regard. I pair it with RazoRock XX aftershave for the jumiper notes. It seems to work. :)
