Did the South African Navy Encounter a Giant Megalodon Shark?

Is the largest shark in the history of the earth still lurking out there somewhere? Officially, the megalodon became extinct 2.6 million years ago - but unofficially, gigantic beasts are regularly spotted in the oceans that make our hair stand on end! Could it be that the colossus from prehistoric times has somehow survived? What is the story behind the strange photograph showing a megalodon off the South African coast? Why did several fishermen swear that they escaped the huge predator by the skin of their teeth? And above all, can we trust the disturbing pictures of megalodons that keep appearing on the web?

I was a Professional Diver and we witnessed several Very Large and Very Dark Sharks ..We called the Great Whites ( because this was before the MEG was known ) we were tagging WHALE SHARKS and these were just as Big ..But when we got closer we realized these had TEETH and were shaped like GREAT WHITES ..But were very dark on the upper side .. We also found teeth that were as Big as your hand and were FRESH with fleshy membrane around the base of the teeth

Hard to say… we’ve only explored 5% of the ocean and still can’t access most of the reminding 95%… it’s plausible. We need hard evidence.

In spite of it's gargantuan size, because of their naturally high pH level for existence in extreme deep water pressure with below freezing waters, the Meglodon did not need to eat much. The pH levels rise due to extremely slow metabolism.

I definitely believe there are many things we don't know about the Ocean . Giant Squid, The Kraken and more . Species thought to be Extinct.

The mystery shark with the bait was clearly a Greenland Shark.

I believe that the meg exists. Who knows what all is in the deep oceans.

It's impossible to say whether they do or don't, one of the current ideas is that they were wiped out due to a fairly close Supernova or something similar causing cosmic particles to make it to the surface of earth, this is due to the fact that there are holes in the dna recovered from megladons. Which they believe that megaldons hunted closer to the surface hence the particles hitting them. The argument against it is that megladon were probably migratory and travelled between deep and shallows which would mean some would have survived. Just depends how many. It is definitely possible that there could be some out there but it's habits would have to have changed to staying deeper. Just recently they have found a new species of orca, so yeah an animal that size could be hidden. The oceans are plenty big enough.

Megladons do not exist anymore. That’s the name given to sharks of the Paleozoic era and the Mesozoic era. Today they are called great whites or a very very large great white.

The teeth were not 11, 000 years old. We debunked that one already.

The coelacanth fish is still around, declared extinct. Why wouldn't sea creatures survive an ice age? There are still sea creatures since then.

We know more about the moon, then what lurks under water

They are finding Creatures today they thought were extinct to this day, If we survived other things could have survived also, We really don't know what all there is in all our seas & oceans, We have only explored a third of our Oceans, So, an ancestor of the Meg could be out there still No One knows...

It seems like the artifacts and fossils that challenge current theory and philosophy they seem to get lossed or missed place or grow legs walk off. This is becoming a pattern

Know one is saying about. Gigantism in species. Hormones can do weird things 😊

They still exist, somewhere, and our vast oceans have not been fully discovered or searched.

The Carcharodon Megolodon has now shrunk in size, evolved over time, to Carcharodon Carcharius proportions due to lack of sizeable food sources and the radical drop in the amount of oxygen residing in our planet's thermosphere and atmosphere in general.
Look what Steve Alten created!

All of these people saying it's impossible to know... You are all insane. We do know that they are extinct because they no longer appear in the fossil record. If they were alive today we would find their teeth and they wouldn't be fossils. These sharks lived in shallow coastal waters, especially when they were young, we would see them. The idea that these massive sharks would just swim deeper and survive is absurd.
