As a CompSci major at WGU thank you! I'm gonna be in Japan like you someday! You're my inspiration! Lets get it!

A comp sci degree means you’re a problem solver. Every industry/field needs problem solvers. Whether it’s it, cybersecurity, or business

Computer science with a concentration in cybersecurity should cover you.

I did a BSCIA at wgu and am currently applying to a few MSCS programs if I were to do it again I would’ve done cs with the certs but it all works out in the end

Great to hear you talk about the validity of the BSCIA from WGU. The strategy for me is to finish the BSCIA quickly and get into the work force despite not having a foundation in CompSci. As always, thank you for sharing your insights Josh!

Computer Science is ABET accredited, the others arent. If you want an engineering job in the gov it has to be ABET.

Hey Josh love your videos| I wanted to ask what advice you have for someone with no tech experience trying to get into Reverse Engineering/Malware analysis. Traditional blue team doc doesn’t seem to be my thing but this career path is very interesting & I want to give it a shot. Do you know if it’s possible for someone with no experience to break into this industry why or why not. What advice would you give them.

I have failed Discrete Math 2 times, I am about to take it again this coming semester 😅

Can you do a video on the Cybersecurity masters vs getting a second degree like compsci or software engineer if you already have the WGU cybersecurity bachelors?

I'm getting my CSIA bachelor's. I'm curious to hear your opinion on what master's degrees would make me more well rounded, as opposed to just going all in on cybersecurity?

Hey Josh! I love your videos, they've been extremely helpful in my cybersecurity journey. I'm currently enrolled at WGU and I've been unemployed for a little over a year now. I have just spent the last bit of my savings on a new term at WGU and I've not even gotten one interview, after over 2k submissions over the last 11 months. I am now going to sign up for your course to get SOC Analyst experience so that I have a better looking resume and therefore a better chance at getting work. But money is an issue. Is there any promotions or anything I can to save money on your program?

I was thinking of getting into Cloud Engineering, and I know you've been in that field for a while. I was planning on getting a Bachelor's in Cloud from WGU. Will it be enough to get ahead?

I'm looking into University of Arizona's BS in Cyber Operations. Their program is has a similar designation (CAE-CO) by the NSA and their cyber engineering course is computer science based (core courses include programming in C, assembly, python and includes requirements in discrete math). It's most likely more expensive than WGU, but there might be a good opportunity to work in the public sector.

What do you think about programs like this?
