2:34-2:42 that is so true. i think part of the reason why kiel in particular receives a lot of criticism from other groups' fandoms - saying his choreo sucks and he recycles steps and stuff like that - is because there is a disparity in skill, and the blame is not just solely on the chore/choreographer. as you said i think it's more about the execution. no shade to the other groups he has worked with bc i'm a fan of them as well but it's obvious that xg is capable and skilled enough to execute those steps which is why it works for them and not for others. it helps that their music is hiphop-oriented as well so they were able to make use of classic hiphop dance steps for it.

Thanks for the term definitions to the side of the video - I’ve heard those terms in reactions before, but was only picking up the meaning by context. Really enjoyed your reaction and would be interested in ever deeper breakdowns of what you’re seeing - like what are some of the things you are seeing Cocona doing that show a different flavor from the other members? All members of XG were street dancers before they debuted as idols. That's why they all look like main dancers ❤️

You should really check out their move vids. Especially move #2 which is made up of 7 individual vids of each member performing solo and each member showcases a different style of dance. If you watch move #1, you would have thought they were a dance crew. Both move #1 & move #2 are pre-debut.

Great reaction, mates! when you watch again and listen to the music and lyrics, you can see how well integrated the Choreo is at each step, each beat, each lyric. It is a perfect marriage between music, lyrics, choreo and the execution of them all in sync and in complete harmony. It is a joy to witness and they share their joy in performing it perfectly.

It probably feels more Jpop to you....because that's their foundation 😊 They're an avex group as far as I know, but they attend Korean music shows and sing in English (mostly), Japanese, and Korean

As an Alpha who is not that expert in dances it's really reassuring that these dancers genuinely lovee XG's dance skills. Just a proof that this girl group is on another level. All main dancers, all vocalist and rappers. No shade to other groups but XG made me feel alive again when it comes to kpop, I've stopped watching new gen girl groups cause I've been looking for something different and then I found them and made me fall in love instantly not just because of their talents each of them just have great personality wnd genuine they are like family. Special thanks to Simon and the whole crew esp. to their stylists and technical team. This group needs more recognition. XG is worth stanning❤️❤️❤️

you know there has to be some sort of a distance between fans and idols to make fans actually see them as idols. i lowkey hate how some girl groups tend to create this kind of distance with thick makeups and *picture-perfectly sculpted* faces but not focusing on something truly matters like music, choreo and rapping skills. XG is not meant for any kind of distance, but the way they sing, dance and rap never fails to make people feel like ''oh wow that's something I can't reach but really want to, they deserve tons of admiration''. These are the real tough muscle that never goes stale, and what makes XG Xtraordinary Girls.

Idk what it is exactly, but something in the way they move in this choreo reminds me of a lot of boy group choreos that have very sharp and quick moves. You don't see that a lot with girl groups and that's why I really like XG. They really can do any kind of dance, but they kill it with hip hop style dance.
