Показать описание
Baldwin Park is considered one of the most successful infill neighborhoods in the country. At over 1000 acres, this newer community within the City of Orlando offers a large variety of homes, retail, office, and a fantastic place to call home. Did you know? It also used to be a Naval training base? Today I'll take you on a tour and dig into the history, the real estate, and frequently asked questions.

Did bootcamp there in the summer 92. One day in chow line, we waited for hours it seemed in the heat n humidity. One guy on my right was from Maine, he fell out. I turned to my left to say "dang" to that fella. HE, just then, fell out, too. I recall that mock ship mentioned in this video also. It had a nickname, but I can't recall. It was used for shipboard firefighting training. I was there during Hurricane Andrew. It was just a mild event for Orlando, it seemed. But fellow recruits from non Hurricane states thought the world would implode.

The Navy took over the property in 1968. I was here in the Air Force in 1966 & 1967 when it was Orlando Air Force Base. Then went on to Vietnam.

Went to Boot Camp there in 1980. Wouldn’t recognize the place anymore. My barracks building is now a tennis court at the school! Especially like the editing of this video with the cars driving backwards!
