How to fix Windows 10 File Explorer 🗂

In this short video, I talk you through how to fix problems with Windows 10 File Explorer. If you are having issues with File Explorer-like it closing intermittently, or maybe not just opening at all, this quick fix can sometimes help cure the issues you are having.
This Windows 10 File Explorer repair/fix has been well tested and proven to work multiple times for me, however, it is always wise to be sure to back up your computer before trying any of these fixes.
If you are still having problems after you have tried this fix it might be worth deleting Onedrive from your computer as this has also caused me issues - again backup one drive before deleting it.

The file explorer on my computer was all messed up. Until I was able to log on and get the desktop took 5 minutes. All work with the explorer was extremely slow. After following the advice everything is back to normal.

Interesting solution. I tried it today and it appears that it has fixed my problem. I had problem with File explorer - whenever I used to click on X to close it, the whole shell would restart. Also, the folder search feature would kinda go forever. Now at the list when I enter part of file name in search box, it shows matching list pretty quickly.
What's the significance of those keys to shell? And, more importantly, are there a class of problems detected in Windows where deleting such keys is only solution?

I need help with something, so I messed around in the file Explorer (bad idea) and I accidentally merged the download and the desktop file in the same folder so I can't access my download

I had a problem whereby Windows Explorer would hang up whenever I tried to open a JPG file on my computer, either by using Explorer directly or another Image Viewer. This fixed it. (Edit: This only fixed the problem for maybe a few days or a week, then the problem reoccurred. I edited the registry again and the problem once again went away so for me right now, it seems like a temporary fix)

i used custome theme on my windows 10 (21h2), file explorer becomes as windows 7 file explorer, i removed custom theme but file explorer is still like windows 7... i done resetting file explorer to the dfault but file explorer can not become windows 10 file explorer..
