I think all bmws (late 90s- present) have that exhaust valve. There’s a connection you can disconnect by the left tail light inside the trunk so the valve stays opened and make it “louder.” The aftermarket exhaust sounds good though, it’ll sound better within a week or two of driving

I had a cheap full midpipe/catback ActiveAuto knock off several years ago for my e36. It didnt fit well, gaskets were crap, and needed work. If you can weld, then its a decent project.

My 96' 328 Vert cam with the same ebay muffler (and a bad m52), after installing a m52 stroker that I had built, it turned out that the ebay muffler had rotted nout inside, allowing the fiberglass to pack up in the third chamber and cause incredible back pressure. It took me way too long to figure out. I ended up slicing it open and basically gutting it. It runs great and actually sounds pretty good.

Ditch the max peeding struts, they will ruin the handling, and the rear strut mounts. Promise. At the very least put real rear struts in

Next time split the clamps in half so you have 4 total, then you can weld them to the stock exhaust and swap exhausts whenever

My Maxpeeding rods are working out pretty well for me so far, been on since like November 2019, I’m planning on getting the UUC corsa exhaust, had it before and it was the ultimate best in my opinion, very expensive but worked just right for me, your e36 is looking and running really dope, wishing you the best, I subscribed and thumbs up 👍🏼 ✨

I have a e36 325i convertible and I did a muffler delete and it honestly sounds so good. Pretty deep idle and sounds so good at high rpm coat me 30 dollars in total😂
