ADT customer Amber Cooper, highly recommends that all home owners have a fire alarm system for their homes. After a fire broke out in Amber’s home her fire alarm detected smoke in the kitchen and alerted ADT dispatchers. Dispatcher David Tompkins received a smoke alarm alert showing smoke in Amber’s home. David proceeded to call the home owner in which he did not receive an answer.

Immediately, he dialed 911 and provided the first responders with all of the information they needed to save the home. Amber was able to alert the first responders with a sticker that she had previous place on her door to indicated a dog is in the home. Thanks to the immediate fire detection services the first responders were able to save Amber’s dog Fiona and her home.

Amber is very grateful for ADT and for the dispatcher that assisted with the emergency call. David Tompkins was able to meet Amber and her dog Fiona. After his heroic act, he was given the ADT Life Saver award.
