I opened my git hub project with github desktop and i make new features then i open one new folder in vs code and blast. I m back to my project folder it gone all changes. But it showing in history. But how to restore hole project because some folder and file i made it missing

I want to switch from Notepad++ to VS Code. Unfortunately I can't find an option to see line changes of a file up from the last saved version. I assume that your green line in the file next to the rownumber is doin that. How can I add this one?
