I want to say first off “I AM SO HAPPY TO FIND YOUR CHANNEL TODAY! I COULD CRY!” I’m a 37 year old retinol/clindomycin topical user. I am combating some major major dryness when I use to be the most oily person in the world. So many foundations I want to try and I feel like on younger people some work so much better! Now I wanted to love this foundation SO BADLY. I couldn’t. It just spread out during the day, looked super Cakey. I couldn’t believe how awful it looked. I tried everything in the world too, but this just would not work for me.

I wore this foundation for a newborn photoshoot with our new puppy (yes, we're the crazy dog people) and it was stunning in photos. It was shot outdoors in natural light. I'm quite dry myself and I found a spritz of fix plus really helped with any clinging to dry patches.

Finally someone in my age range reviewing this foundation! I have been really wanting to try this but I hesitate when I think of “matte full coverage” on my dry 47.75 year old skin. From other reviews I’ve watched I did hear it didn’t live up to the transfer resistant claim and it tends to oxidize. If I decide to try this, I’m going to use the Smashbox Primerizer: Primer + Moisturizer underneath it like Kathleen Lights did to see if it helps on my dry areas. Thanks for the in-depth and honest review❤️

I bought this about a month ago and when I first apply it I love it, however over time for me it settles bad into my lines, disappears off of parts of my face and definitely clings to my dry patches. I kept trying it with different primers, moisturizers etc and just couldn’t quite get it to look the way I wanted it to. It feels wonderful on and like you said at a distance I love it. But yah I ended up returning it because my ysl all hours is still just so much better for me. Loved this review, you nailed all of the points I was thinking as well ☺️

Also I don’t know why I have NEVER found a perfect shade match in Nars foundations, this shade looks good on you. An we wear the same shade. It looked a little light at first, but looks good with bronzer an blush. I really like you in a matte foundation on camera. You look beautiful!!
