When Zuko stood up for those soldiers, whose lives were just going to be disposed of as worthless pawns for baseless war, that was objectively the most honourable act out of anyone in that meeting. That act was supposedly what made him "lose his honour? " From the very beginning, Zuko held more honour in his pinky than anyone in that room had combined and by the end of the series he multiplied his honour 10 or more-fold.

The same looking for approval from the wrong people, and in the end, the same hope trough honor and growing as a person.
