The tool is a Dremel, if any one of you wonder :) It’s great as it can also cut glass/metal/wood, can be used for sanding etc.

i love sustainable art, i dont do it professionally but i do crochet, i never throw away any bit of yarn no matter how small, it goes in the corpse bag

The amount and fresh look of the yarn/thread looks new to me and not reused or thrifted

Okay, I didn’t expect to be attacked with my own childhood nostalgia like this like what the fuck!

For the people who don’t get the Polly pocket one: the artist is implying that, if you’re old enough to remember Polly Pocket, you need Botox (I.e. for wrinkles) 😭

Edit: please don’t share your ages online, guys!! :( lots of bad stuff can happen to you if you’re young, especially if you’re a minor!! I’ve dealt with weirdos before, so please be careful about your ages!

"time for botox" ? ... the kids who had that version of polly pocket (you know, had clothes, wasn't 1cm tall) are in their 20's!
Her art IS amazing though! I love that so much of it is recycled/reclaimed materials. I wonder how long it takes her to make her pieces?

I'm 23 and polly pockets were my favorite toy. I have a baby face too. I did not need to be insulted that way 😂

I highly doubt that its made with revicled materials, It looks she recorded heraelf picking the rope and the proceed to use vibrant brand new cords

I’m so tired of the insistence that women need to keep up appearances so they can look like weird baby seniors until they die. Men get to age and even get called cool names like “silver fox” and they’re considered respectable for aging. Women, at best, get called a cougar. And even that isn’t a good direct comparison. I’m so tired of the idea that aging is the most horrible thing that can happen to women. We live in a sick society when it comes to the “beauty” industry. But I guess we have for a long time, if you look up the toxic trends that have been going on for centuries. Anything to sell women snake oil potions for $100 a pop.

This one is a miss for me. The subliminal message behind that show title is one of objectification. Your wrinkles are natural and you do not NEED botox for cosmetic reasons, no matter your age. Also as another user pointed out, those vibrant colors tell me she is not using found materials. The Polly Pocket clothes in particular look like they're made from brand new plastic. Did you know they recently discovered plastic particles had not only crossed the blood brain barrier but gone deeper into the brain than ever before? Who knows what type of damage it'll cause this generation as they age.

“If you know who it is, it’s time for Botox” is such an icky title.. implying anyone who is essentially 20+ “needs” cosmetic surgery/implants/injections is gross.

I absolutely support art made by recycling disposed materials, it looks fun! At the same time though, I very much disagree with and disapprove of the botox 'joke'. We really shouldn't promote that.

I can guarantee you that she does NOT get all her supplies from the trash. Parts of it maybe, probably just the rope

The cutting it open is so unsatisfying to me. It was so organic looking and shiny before

Reminds me of blooming flowers. Very beautiful

The stuff in at the start would make cool scratch boards. The art would be revealed as your cat scratched on it.

No way ALL he materials are recycled/reused out of the literal trash. Look how new, clean & shiny all of those fibers are. Unless she gets material donated from high end clothes makers or craft stores there is no way.
