Not sure if Washington was as humble as pop history and culture make him out to be but he was at the crux of one of the most important moments in history regardless. FDR in my opinion is the greatest leader America has yet had; if only he got universal healthcare implemented in this country . . . if he had he’d be one of the greatest leaders in *history* in my opinion. Point blank period.

FDR, may have made mistakes such as prolonging the depression with government intervention (new deal) and internment of Japanese Americans. You have to give the man credit, he was a strong war time president and created important things like social security and FDIC.
