A fresh battle is shaping up between Nairobi’s opposition politicians and the county government over an alleged loss of 1.7 billion shillings in a controversial medical insurance deal. Allegations of corruption have emerged in the deal between the AAR Company and the Mike Sonko administration. The county assembly minority whip Peter Imwatok is planning to file a corruption case at the EACC, after the high court dismissed his petition against the county government. And as Enock Sikolia reports, an audio clip has surfaced incriminating Nairobi MCAs in a bribery plot.
