What a relief to hear eloquent, genuine and knowledgable people like this after the Circus of the past four years with Trump. Good luck to the new administration from friends in Australia.

This is such a refreshing dialogue. Yes I know that there are issues and challenges but just the fact that we can have this conversation feels like a big black cloud has dispersed. H.O.P.E (hold on pain ends)!

Public health works. Private partnerships in health do not work.

Just telling that America was great before Trump won't fly.
Years of neglect and erosion of you're way of thinking made it possible for a man like Trump to become the President.
And don't forget the Republican party who wen't all in with everything the party and Trump wanted.

The world wants to trust the USA but knowing trump could be back in four years makes it an uphill struggle, no matter how well Biden/Harris do that will always be at the back of our minds

Eurooeans are really happy for the USA that you managed to select a decent president thuis time. But under Trump you lost your role as ' leader of the free world" and there is a lot of silent distrust what next elections may bring

I never lost faith in America. It has a special place in the world, always has, always will. Normalcy trumps lunacy. Pardon the pun.

Imagine if all the Governors, Mayors, election officials and even Judges appointed by Trump didn't do their jobs.

If all of them acted like republican senators, we would be crowning our King on inauguration day..

America has lost massive amount of world prestige over the last 4 years, it's going to take a while to build it up again. Trump's America First policy (if you can call it that) has meant that many developing countries are looking more to China as a better trade partner, while America's allies have learned not to trust America and have worked out ways to work without America as a partner. None of this matters to Trump supporters of course.

His first step is to hold those that broke the law accountable! Let the DOJ investigate and let the trails begin.

Trump, his sniveling GOP and the base of Trumpism has made America an unreliable and untrustworthy partner. This will only change once you get rid of the arcane Electoral College. It has to be majority rule in terms of one American and one vote. What is known trifally as the 'Popular Vote'!

The best insight that I can offer is that coming from the home of a 1950-1960 type Wisconsin Republican Lobbyist, there was always a strong element of public service that motivated everything. It was a given that if you were a part of that family, you would be donating at least a few years of your time. You might be a missionary, teach, be a mayor, help build new houses, or take a few of those foreign exchange students into your home. Before the "Great Recession", America had a really vigorous volunteer and charity network. Even our strongest charities were unable to withstand the financial pressure of the recession. Congress rescued a few that were needed most, but did not keep up the support for long. Churches have been declining in importance since televangelists have taken over. It's easy to want less government, but we all still want a society that reponds to the small issues that fall past the big government programs. When that supplemental assistance isn't there, we start looking for a charity that hasn't survived.

I moved to this country 20 years ago. It felt like I moved in to a 5 Star Hotel. In the last 4 years the Hotel crumbled down to a
1 Star or less. Now I see the competent contractors coming and I am sure they will build my 5 Star Hotel back or making it even
better.

America has been forever damaged by Trumps decimation of our standing in the world. The question is whether we can reestablish ourself as the leader of Democracy for the world - we're looking like a third world nation at this point.

Samantha's a very smart woman. Cogency of thought in such a brief interview was very impressive. Also like how she doesn't speak "a mile a minute". She's understandable.

I think it would be great if America would just take care of itself and it’s own population for a while. There’s a lot of hurt and disparity that needs to be mended before the world should trust and depend on America for anything. It would also be beneficial for the world’s other countries independence to not succumb to the tired slogan that America is the leader of the free world. The free world has managed crisis and hardships without American interference for 4 years.

Trump and Republicans have left minefields for President elect Biden and Vice president elect Harris that will keep them busy for years. Come on Georgia you can do this time to flip the Senate.
