I was keeping up on cells in my hive but then we go so much rain I missed some days. By the time I got back in there I had swarm cells but not capped. I took the queen and capped brood to different hive and tore down cells because to late to make queen so I have one coming. I took nurse bees and a few extra shakes. I caged queen fir brood break and feeding well. I really didn't want to split but didn't want to risk late season swarm.

I just started with a nuc this spring. I was told I don't have to worry about swarming until spring but I'm glad I watched this! My colony is huge!

I had two hives that swarmed. One I caught. The other left as soon as they hit the tree. I built a few more boxes to add.

My hive swarmed on me instead of drawing out 2 frames or taking it up in the super. They maid 15 cells so I left 2 cells. Now a week and half later no evidence of any queen cells or a queen. I'm hoping she was out on a mating flight or running around before mating. I plan on looking again tomorrow and adding a frame of eggs just in case.

After swarming and virgin queen coming back mated. Most frames are filled with mostly nectar, some honey, and pollen. Working with two deeps. 3 to four sides of frames not filled out. Should i put on honey super? Cotton will be blooming here soon.

Hello Dave, I am a bee keeper, on the lighter side, can you pour Bud lite on drones and create queens??

What would you do if the queen cell had a egg in there?

What shuld a person do in the instance that they do happen to catch a swarm in July or August? Thanks David

Noob question here: I just had a hive swarm massively and was not able to catch it and put it back. I see there's still some bees left in the hive and they're bringing in pollen. I'm pretty sure the hive was too crowded, and it has been hot and a bit of a dearth so some decided to leave I guess.

My question is: Isn't normally the old queen leaving with the swarm? if that's the case, how would the remaining hive survive? I mean I have not really seen any drones for a while, so a virgin queen needs to get a maiden flight to get what she needs from drones, but is July too late for that? is my remaining hive doomed now? Thanks for explaining this to a newbeek from Japan.

How can I tell if my hives are honey bound and what can be done about it? I think one of my hives might be honey bound but I’m not positive. I could not find a post of yours that addresses this issue and I’m having trouble finding good advice on this topic.

How much room (frames) does a queen need to lay to prevent swarming?

You mentioned in a previous video a swarm in July ain’t worth a fly, if you catch a swarm if you use the techniques you’ve mentioned for bees of dearth/winter physiology would it still be good to catch a swarm in July?

Will help a metal plate and a old metal piece like pipe or hammer and start to banging hard, the bee may return
