One of the best things having the Connect and remotely seeing the door, you can make sure the door is closed and locked and know if you forgot to lock it. I found with my Gen 2 lock bluetooth was about 15 to 20 feet, but I replaced the Gen 2 with a Gen 3 as Gen 2 doesn't have the Doorsense function, and I like knowing the door is actually locked. The other great thing is seeing if the door was locked or unlocked.
I have never used the auto lock and auto unlock, I don't want the door locking on me when I go to the letterbox, as I don't always take my phone with me, and the auto unlock is a bit unreliable. I'd still go for a Gen 3 over the Gen 4 because I like how it looks and also it just works better.

Living in an apartment and cannot change the locks, is this a good option SIMPLY to auto lock when I leave, and to Auto Unlock when I get within a few feet?

Living on the 3rd floor, handful of groceries, phone in pocket & auto unlock would be ideal!

Or do you have to go into the app and click “unlock”

I've been looking at this for a couple years now since can get it homekit enabled. The thing is, I don't need it. I never use my front door. Maybe I'll make an excuse one day. Good review.

Lol. I find it interesting how positive you worded the review and then your like... its not that amazing and it won't save you in anyway. Clearly you've never lost your Keys in the house and had to call a locksmith as a locksmith I have to say these could totally save you! Because people forget about there Keys all the time but almost never forget there phone.

...annnnd all a burglar needs to do to get in your home is break the window and turn the knob on your $200 smartlock. Get a $70 double cylinder lock instead. This expensive lock fails at the minimal thing a lock is supposed to do: Discourage unlawful entry into the home (or at least make it more difficult). Thumbs up for your nice video though!
