While I went to Ottawa to make the case for why Alberta deserves fiscal fairness, Canada's premiers are also united in calling on the federal government to focus on two things in the upcoming federal throne speech: protecting lives and livelihoods.
The single-minded focus of the federal government needs to be on the public health urgency and the economic crisis in front of us, not on ideological shiny objects.
