As a foreigner living in Finland, this is almost correct, but the guy would never walk so close to the neighbor while completely sober.

As a Finnish person, this is completely unrealistic. We would never nod at our neighbors. Every actual Finn simply ignores their neighbors in a situation like this.

Jim is not really from the USA. You can tell by his gravel. The noise level it makes when walked on is illegal in 27 states. The homeowners association and local zoning officials are not doing their job.

Wish people were more like Finnish people. A nod is enough to notice the other. Don't need to hear the other's entire life story upon meeting each time.

The Finnish version is just me on a regular basis except it is more like, I hope that random person doesn’t start talking to me?
