Encryption has become the soup du jour in the last couple of weeks! As a new Ham in a failing nation, I couldn’t be happier 😉 I picked up the Ailunce HD2 which will be here today. If I don’t like it, I’ll try this one next. Thanks for the content as always. I will however vouch for TYT as a brand. Holy cow, I can’t believe how easy it is to unlock that radio! I have a couple of AnyTones and I have never been able to unlock them, despite following step by step guides.

Need to order some of these and see if I can get them to work…

Well made video, I own a TYT long time ago and self-taught how to use the CPS for encryption, although I must say I learned some stuff such as the Universal tab in the encryption, well done my friend on the explanation👍

The startup tone can be turned off through the radio by going to menu>utilities>radio settings>tones/alerts>all tones>select off. In the programming software its in general settings under "alert tone". make sure "disable all tone" is checked
