I had no idea people rent backyards. I have been renting my detached garage out to offer vehicle storage for years. I stick to storage only because I don't want people coming and going. I also insist that the owner has at least storage insurance. Rates will vary based on how big your city is. Currently I am receiving $575 for four vehicles. Generally $150-175 per month. Hahaha tried dashing and made an average of $8-10 per hour. Gotta love those customers who don’t leave a tip when you drive 10+ miles 🙃. It isn’t worth the gas! I’m sure location matters but $25/hour is unheard of

Renting your car?? Hah no way. Plus you need to mention when you do door dash or any delivery service you need to up your car insurance. When you don't have the correct coverage, your car insurance won't cover the accident. Plus gas, maintenance and all of that severely cuts into any profits.

Obviously, some of the ideas are better than others and some will only work at all in certain parts of the country. Don't take these or any others out on YouTube as absolutes, they are idea starters. I found just making a little on small side hustles made me cut spending so much more than what the side hustle paid once I saw how much effort it takes to make the side hustle money. If $10, 000 in a year seems like too much think in terms of where you could make an extra $1, 000 and how you would do it. The key is to start somewhere and understand what you are doing. Several of the suggested actions I would never seriously consider taking. There are always others to consider.

None of these work for me. My city is impoverished, nobody has money to rent my yard, garage, etc. Also, the people here are sketchy and I wouldn't trust people living one of my bedrooms.
