Intamin Reveals Falcon's Flight Details - Coaster101
Today, during the IAAPA Expo, Intamin released more details for the world's tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster, Falcon's Flight, which is scheduled to open at Six Flags Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia.Nov 14, 2023 According to Intamin, the new “Exa Coaster” will have a 640′ difference its highest and lowest point, and reach top speeds of 156 mph. Riders will not need to wear protective eyewear, as each row of the 14-passenger train will have its own windshield to protect riders from the elements.

To reach that top speed, Falcon’s Flight will employ the use of three separate LSM launches across its more than 13,000′ of track – which is nearly a mile longer than the current world record holder, Steel Dragon 2000 at Japan’s Nagashima Spa Land (8,133.2′ long).

Falcon’s Flight will have several key unique features, including “extra-large” running wheels with custom designed rims for enhanced cooling, due to high speeds and high ambient temperatures of the Saudi Arabian desert. The “next generation” LSM vehicles are equipped with fully machined, no weld chassis, and fully programmable onboard lights, which feature 35 individually controllable light modules.

According to Intamin, the front car of Falcon’s Flight is sculpted to have the form of a falcon’s head and has seating for two passengers. The remaining cars are of four passenger configuration and of an open design to maximize the guests’ impression of speed and sense of flying.
