Protesters disrupt New York City Council’s budget hearing

Independent reporter Talia Jane posted a video from a New York City Council executive budget hearing on Thursday, where protesters disrupted the proceedings. They questioned the New York Police Department's (NYPD) involvement in pro-Palestine student protests at universities across the US. One protester accused the council of wasting "billions of dollars" and stated, "All you do is harass and brutalise students at protests."
