In this video, we will learn how to convert a compound sentence to a complex sentence and vice-versa.

Steps to convert a compound sentence to a complex sentence:
step 1: is to identify the independent clauses and coordinating conjunction in the sentence
step 2: is to determine the sub-ordinating conjunction based on this table and
step 3. Convert the Independent clause into a Dependent clause with the help of
subordinating conjunction and framing the sentence.

Steps to convert complex sentence to a compound sentence:
step 1: is to identify the dependent clause, independent clause, and subordinating conjunction in the sentence
and
step 2: is to determine the co-ordinating conjunction based on this table and
step 3. Convert the dependent clause into an Independent clause with the help of
co-ordinating conjunction and framing the sentence.

Question 1: Convert the below compound sentence to a complex sentence
Work hard and you will succeed.
Answer: If you work hard, you will succeed.

Question 2: Convert the below complex sentence to a compound sentence
She is rich yet she is not happy.
Answer 1: Though she is rich, she is not happy.

In the exercise 2 nd question is already in compound form so you can convert it into complex only not complex to compound by using though....
