Fun fact: google published a whitepaper in 2006 describing BigTable together with GFS, which spawn the Hadoop project.

If adding and removing *BigTable Nodes* is handled automatically then it would be awesome. Currently, I guess one needs to manually add and delete nodes

what about the streaming data sets like those that come out of exchanges prices, I believe Google already has it as under the banner of Google finance, but the question remains is what if I want to access these streamed (with delay or without) prices directly in to bigtable framework ? before passing it to additional analysis and preprocessing, the thing which differentiates Google financial / pricing data is that they come directly from exchange with no aggregation on top of it, which unfortunately makes the data almost useless in terms of actionable intelligence, so your input is highly appreciated
