My final thoughts on lost ark solo mode as I discontinue my series where I nerf myself to the barebones to simulate the new player experience.

We will get solo Thaemine when china needs it. Seems like sg has given up on solo content and they wont develop it just for us. This game needs solo or easy mode for every raid asap. This mindset that casual players should go on some discord groups looking for 7 other players with correct classes, doing logistics to get everyone online at the same time and then doing 10+hour prog for like a year old raid just to be able advance their character is mindblowing. Nobody will choose this bs over loding up any other game and just blasting it for couple of hours

I returned to LA 1 month ago after break 2 years for solo mode. Then I learn mech solo akkan, ivory, and kayangel. Using 1600 shadowhunter my main char, 1st week I clear only gate 1 kayangel after 2 attempts. 2nd week can clear akkan and ivory gate 1 also average after 3 attemps each. 3rd week I remember all major mech, but I failed clear except kayangel gate 1 because last minute, always die because normal pattern. Then retry for 5 times. The feeling tire and stress playing make me take another break again now. the game is not for people at my age 50 yr old haha, I can't remember a lot of mech. Bye bye Lost Ark, now I enjoy Path of Exile 😂

If I’m not mistaken when they revelead solo mode they said that top 3 gold activities would be group content while the rest could be solo.
Its been a while since they got Aegir and soon the new Brel, yet I dont see any announce of solo Theamine anywere which makes me feel like its just gonna be another half baked system. Coconut✌🏽

From the perspective of somebody who just started 2 months ago and has exclusively played solo till 1600, I disagree with the sentiment that solo mode requires additional help. New players should be going into these raids with the expectation that they will wipe a few times to learn everything + there are great community guides that explain mechs much better than an in-game tooltip would. Being able to overcome the challenge of juggling boss aggro + mechs also helps the player transition into the real raid + helps the player understand the ins/outs of their class better.

In regards to your friend that can't clear solo after doing group raid content, maybe they were just carried ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There is absolutely no way someone can't clear any solo mode content if they are clearing thaemine (actually playing not getting carried and calling it a clear). I do agree that having a toggle option for hints about each mech would be a good idea for solo mode.

I came back to lost ark after 6 months break just for solo..i'm clearing every available gate with 8 chars and somehow i still enjoy it <3 I think they should release solo version even for the lastest raids, at least to get materials to upgrade the gear if gold is too much to ask...it would be sad to stop at ivory tower ☹ and yeah, SUBSCRIBED! 😄

Im massively struggling for gold as a returning player (came back this week) and also getting blue oreha for alts - atm my main is 1553 i have loads of mats but each hone is like 300g

The solo mode is the only reason to play this game. The lost ark community is til now the worst community I ever saw.

well akkan g3 is annoying in solo where the star/hex mech i need to use to pot around there due to taking dmg for no reason regardless of how good i play then there is the end mech when u need to use wei, man if im cc or body blocked by the trash mobs it is a restart angle.

a lot of these details were ment for group raids but we will see if they even release thaemine or more if not players like me would most likely move on to games like poe2 which people have been say it actually plays alot more like lost ark and their head dev admitted they have copied part of a "korean game".

At this point I'm in thaemine/echidna solo waiting room. Tired of bussing to gear and I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of solo mode on things like akkan and voldis. For whatever reason I can do those fine, but thaemine g3 is impossible for me. I'm pretty overleveled for the solos but regardless I can do the mechs.

Need more solo mode up to Echidna / Behemoth, it does not makes sense T4 is coming and solo mode is still way behind. Also overall there is a need for a raid mode that is not too punishing. They also need to reward tradable gold as well.

I think too that pacing of release is a big issue. Also that SG isnt really transparent what are the plans for the future of this. I mean we still dont know when next Solo raids are released. Its also possible SG just throw it completly out of the window....

The only reason I still play the game is Solo mode, if they stop releasing solo raid then I wont be playing anymore

I like solo raids for learning raids but not for hw. I get bored playing solo, I like competing with other players to see who gets the top dmg. So I hope they release every raid with a solo mode just to learn the raid and avoid a lot of the toxicity that comes when pugging raids.

In-game guide to the raids is a must, just like a class preview, a short vid to the main mechs and attacks. Maybe just leave the newest raid for people to prog "blind"(aka just kr) but all other must have one.
Solo raids are necessary. I learned Ivory solo, and transitioned into party much easier. We need Thea/Echidna solo, and even if they don't give gold/rewards (if that stupid latest 3 raids for party only still exists), learning solo without the stress of reset every time someone fails is a great experience. There is no one to learn with if you miss the raid release .

I'm sorry but if you are not a new player struggling in solo mode you're just a bozo imposter getting carried in raids. None of the solo raids require any extra skill, they're extremely nerfed and you are at most having to do what you have to do in the regular raids. You just aren't getting carried. Supposed experience players complaining about solo mode difficulty is weird af. Admit you're not experienced.

you see when solo mode released I only did valtan vykas and clown until g2 before quitting when i returned for solo mode doing clown, brelshaza, kayangel, akkan, voldis it was a really good experience for me doing solo I even dare say I got better at the game before it was really hard for me to remember patterns on every raid except valtan now I know every pattern from every gate because to me I didnt need that guidance technically but mechanics probably would need I dont see them adding it because there's guides online but it also depends if someone wants to try doing them blind.

I see your point in clown g3 for me bingo was something I never forgot as in every bomb does a + type of hit on the map and I just make a bingo what I did forget was that every 3rd bomb clown teleports and starts casting which also means you need to make a bingo every 3rd bomb or you dont get the invincible buff and you die I died so many times because I didnt understand that and on ilvl it was so fucking annoying even more when you are a melee class and the skull is below him so you cand dps him because you gain gauge and turn into a clown.

I 50/50 agree on sidereals and mechs sure on akkan I can see how you could rely on teammates and the benefit also because the dmg akan does in g3 everytime he does his mechs he deals this wave of dmg it hurts a lot more on the statues so yeah there's that benefit there but I think aside of that I think solo mode helps on training how to use sidereals and at what point before I never used sidereals myself because I legit got anxious on missing and stuff I think this is good for trainign siderelas imo. on voldis idk but me a plenty of solo raiders found voldis to be by far the easiest raid in solo raid I one shotted g1, g2 took me a really logn time to udnerstand how to do his armor break but once I did I never failed it g3 was incredibly easy except for mirror counter but once I got it I never died since then I have never once died in voldis solo but akkan? the g2 shadow mechanic killed me so many times so the change to you can fail once was a good change for me.

I think Thaemine solo will come with t4 but we'll see echidna I doubt yet but I mean think about thaemine sure isnt hard to get to 1610 ilvl but echidna might be a bit harder I think it would be better to take your time and raise alts to 1580 or 1600 and do the raids there and farm gold.

Anyway sry for the essay but I think solo mode will still get content added to it but with t4 coming out and all that stuff it's hard to tell how much really is being worked on.

COCO-NUTS. Never tried solo mode. Is it set on normal difficulty? Seems kind of behind. I would’ve thought solo dolo Thiamine would be available.
