Wow, as a high jump fan I've been waiting for this record to be broken for so long, all the great jumpers like Bergquist, Vlasic, etc were almost there, but here comes Mahuchikh and crushes through! Congratz, what an awesome jump that was!

Ever since I was little I can remember Ukrainians being such incredible athletes across so many sports. People forget it's a big country with 40 million people. They are very impressive on the athletic stage.

I remember watching Stefka Kostadinova on TV in 1988 at the Seoul games. I didn´t see it when she set the WR but during all these years I knew it was going to be very hard to beat it. It´s incredible how it stood for so many years. Congratulations to both Yaroslava and Stefka.
