Salt gets everywhere. Places you can’t spray it out. When I replaced the bed on my truck, there were pieces of salt stuck between the truck frame and bed crossmembers. Can’t have nice things in Michigan winters.

Get a tundra with under seal to prevent rust and add some textured paint like line-x and you won’t have that problem when it’s muddy or dirty just spray her off and it looks like new
