Samsung Gear Live, first impressions: Gear makes a leap to Android Wear, with heart rate

Yet another Samsung watch, but this one works with all Android phones (almost): the Gear Live is one of the first Android Wear watches, and it's the only one with a heart rate monitor. But how does it work? Check out our early experiences.

Is there any fitness app that supports the Samsung Gear Live watch? Basically I bought it when it first came out because i didn't want to wear a heart rate monitor around my chest so when I saw Samsung were bringing out a watch that ran android and had a heart rate monitor I thought this would be the perfect gadget for me. As it happens it has set on my shelf for about 3 months. All I want is a fitness app that uses the watch to give you a constant heart rate, I'm starting to think this watch may never offer that.​

Excellent review of the watch and a whole new era of complimentary technology. The most important aspect however is continually overlooked in reviews : battery life and battery technology. I hope the manufacturers are investing heavily in this area as it will be crucial for mass adoption if this can be conquered.

Bezel is large on both, price comes into play here. In the US the samsung is cheaper plus you get the heart rate monitor. I have the lg nexus 5 so I the lg g watch should play nicer with it and the battery is larger...
But style wise the motto 360 blows the socks off both ...
But I'd the style gonna be worth the extra money???

i think i like samsung gear live better...and it's offer more than the two others moto 360 and the LG...the gear live look nice and better display

Why should a companion device such as these smart watches cost more than the Moto G makes no sense
